Schneeballschlacht!! ❄️🪖

Hallöchen liebe Freunde!! I don't really know what to say about this week but I'll give some highlights from it.  We visited the Scheuer family for lunch this week and I won the wooden peg game they have!! (I don't remember the name 😅) I was so stoked!! Schwester Scheuer told me the hard part is doing it a second time though so I'll keep y'all posted It has been so cold here, like I am freezing at all times, BUT that means that we've had a couple snowy days! Saturday night it snowed a bunch so after church on Sunday I had an epic snowball fight with the Junge Damen! We didn't declare a winner cause none of us had gloves and we couldn't feel our hands but we had so much fun!! We visited a member of our ward to read the Book of Mormon with him. This man has such a strong testimony and is such an inspiration to me. He's had a bit of a rough life and is on his last leg (like quite literally, he only has one leg 😂) but is one of the most positive people...

The Book of Mormon: A True Story!!

Image
It's Thursday so here I am again 🤪 This past week was pretty crazy but I was able to find some pretty cool miracles!  We received a couple referrals which was exciting and we've had some fun lessons with some of our friends. My favorite one was about the Book of Mormon where I was able to testify at the end. I was tearing up, the two people we were teaching were tearing up, and the Spirit was SO strong!! Even though I was bearing my testimony, the Spirit was definitely doing most of the work because I felt it being testified to ME! It was an amazing experience and I'm so grateful that I get to be a vessel for the Lord full-time One of the girls in the ward is prepping for her mission to Canada right now and has a goal to read the Book of Mormon before she starts. We were talking about it and she told me that sometimes it's hard to stay on track with the reading schedule she has right now. We realized that we were almost at the same spot in the Book of Mormon and decide...

My mom abandoned me at a train station

Hey hey party people! Wanna hear something absolutely wild? I finished my first transfer and am officially no longer a newbie 🤯 This last week of the transfer was pretty awesome! We made some new friends, taught quite a few fire lessons, had friends at church, and just had a blast together. And then my comp decided to leave me. I mean she didn't really have much of a choice but it was still pretty rude of her haha!  Tuesday was kinda chaotic and also quite sad lol. I had to say bye to Sister Maughan at the train station and I've been a bit of a mess since. She is an amazing missionary (she's an STL now so you know she's gotta be), the most perfect person I could've been with for my first transfer, and easily one of my best friends now. But Sister Maughan if you're reading this right now, I'm actually totally fine and definitely have not cried at all since you left 😂 I spent majority of the day after that waiting for my new companion with other sisters who ...

"God is a vibe"

Howdy howdy everyone!! This week was kinda crazy but also so so good! Friday-Saturday we had exchanges with our STLs and that was something lol! Parta of it were fun but it was so chaotic and pretty stressful. My favorite part of the day was coming back to my companion, even though we had only been apart for a couple hours. She's basically my emotional support human rn and we both needed to decompress after the day we had lol Sunday was a great day and a super start to the new year. We weren't able to sleep much cause our neighbors were lighting giant fireworks like 10 feet outside our window but we got to (kinda) celebrate new years. Also Germans go wild for new years! The amount of fireworks that have been going off at all hours the past week is crazy! We had an amazing weekly planning. We worked really hard to set goals for the week and made some pretty solid plans to achieve them. The week isn't over yet but we've already made some great progress!  Yesterday (Wednes...

Und ein glückliches neues Jahr!! 🥳🎆✨️

Heyyo!! I hope everyone's Christmas was magical and that you were able to spend time with loved ones and think about Christ during this season.  This Christmas was different for sure since my family is half a world away, but I was still able to feel at home here. The members in our ward LOVE the sisters and were fighting over who was inviting us over for Christmas. We ended up spending it with 5 or 6 families over the course of the Christmas celebrations. I can't say I had a favorite day over all but Christmas Eve definitely reminded me most of home. We spent it with the Wiehe family and it was so chaotic and so fun. They have four little kids, including a baby. The kids were running around the whole time and jumping all over us, the baby chewed on my finger for most of dinner, we played lots of games and the kids cried when they lost and the adults didn't care, they got us ornaments. It just felt so normal and I loved it! After we got home and into bed, we realized we forg...
